loving kindness

The loving kindness exercise of the mind is one that I have done before and find it to be very healing on all levels of consciousness.  The idea of not only giving the loving kindness energy to heal yourself but also to others.  This projection of kindness and love does not only extend to loved ones but also those who are there to harm you.  To wish good on your enemies is just as healing and poweeerful anfor those you love.

Unit 3

For this weeks journey into my integral health, I was asked a very thought provolking question about who I am.  This exercise allowed me to step back and take a peak at pieces of my true being.  Surface only since I understand the complexity to who I am yet still trying to find that balance.
Based on my inner reflection I would rate my categories as follows:

A. Physical well being: I give myself a 6.5 although at first thought I was going to pick a 7.  I know that I have come far along from where I have been on a physical level but know that I still have much to work on.

B. Spiritual well being:  I give myself an 8 because it is with my spiritual connection that has allowed me to grow into the woman I am today.  It is a deeper connection to something greater than what lies before me and creates an abundance of grace and love in my existence.

C. Psychological:  This is where it gets the lower score of 6.  There are many reasons that I have a lower number and stress seems to be a culprit in shifting this number.  I am aware of this and try different methods of stress reduction to combat this issue.

Small goals that I have been working on for each category is as follows:

A. Make it to the gym atleast 5 times a week.

B. Wake up early and take time to meet with God and meditate.  Great way to start my day in solitude and enlightenment.

C. Not overthink things or create useless self doubt.

****My gym time seems to allow me to encompass all levels of wellness, holistically speaking.   Various classes that I do allow me to focus on different elements of wellness.  Group power allows me to feel strong and powerful, cenergy allows me to balance, meditate and gain core strength.

Unit 2

The Journey meditation was very relaxing and seemed to really bring together mind and body.  My arms and hands did get heavy and warm but was still able to lift them even when told we shouldn't be able to.  Maybe that is my mind trying to be stubborn.  It did take a few seconds for my body to respond to my mind saying to lift them up.  The breathing was great and I am familiar with this type of breathing technique with yoga.  I have found that yoga and meditation is very healing to all areas of a person and should be utilized more in the medical community.
